I have always admired those awesome fantasy paintings with castles and towers, and so i wanted to try painting some of my own. And while experimenting i painted also some land, sky and water.

The moon is a brush from Adobe Exchange Studio,
and as a reference pic for the base of the sky i used a pic from SXC. I think the water came out pretty well, i followed some very good tut, since i've never done a water of my own before.

The awesome, dreamy and mystical digital art style and work of my dear friend AMY aka dualdesigns [link] gave me a lot of inspiration for the mood and coloring. Thank you girl, you rock!!

Wow. I am completely iliterate after seeing this. The water is pure perfection in it's entirety, but of course the painting would be nothing without the castles. They seem to fade off and get spindly at the top, and I love that. for sure.
